LOS ANGELES, April 10 (Reuters) - Reality television star Kim Kardashian will turn to acting in an upcoming season of FX network's anthology series "American Horror Story," co-creator Ryan Murphy said on Monday. Kardashian will co-star with Emma Roberts in the show's upcoming 12th season, which is based on a forthcoming book called "Delicate Condition." Murphy said in a statement that "American Horror Story" writer Halley Feiffer had crafted "a fun, stylish and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done." Kardashian became a pop culture phenomenon during 14 years with her sisters on reality show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," which ended in 2021. The extended Kardashian family now appears on "The Kardashians" on Hulu.

The company doesn't disclose salary data, but, like other US firms, it discloses how much it plans to pay workers it hires on US visas. Many of the roles offered six-figure base salaries. Netflix may choose to pay employees more than the figures reflected in this data or compensate them in additional ways. Based on the data, Netflix offered annual base salaries ranging from $40.45 per hour to $800,000, with a median of $184,080, for various roles.

CNN —Producer Ryan Murphy has premiered three series in roughly a month, so a degree of overlap is perhaps understandable. Even so, the new season of his long-running FX franchise, this one dubbed “American Horror Story: NYC,” feels like a companion in its central themes to “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” which premiered last month on Netflix. This being “American Horror Story,” though, the emphasis skews toward the serial killing, dropping hints and clues about who might ultimately be responsible. “American Horror Story” has hardly been known for its restraint, which made the relative lack of bloody excess in these episodes notable, with less emphasis on the horror than the serial-killer aspect. FX will air back-to-back “American Horror Story” episodes over the next four weeks (with subsequent availability on Hulu), by which time the monster’s identity should be revealed.
